Hotel Linen Case Packs: Dozens, Pieces & Ordering Guide

Hotel linen prices can be quoted per piece, per dozen or per full case. Before comparing suppliers, confirm which unit is ordered and how many actual pieces are delivered. Use the product page and the written quote together; pack quantities can differ even within one collection.

Convert the ordering unit to pieces

  • 1 dozen = 12 pieces.
  • 2.5 dozen = 30 pieces; 3 dozen = 36 pieces.
  • 6 dozen = 72 pieces; 10 dozen = 120 pieces.
  • 15 dozen = 180 pieces; 25 dozen = 300 pieces.

Work out the number of cases

Cases needed = round up (required additional pieces ÷ pieces per case). Count only usable inventory when calculating the shortage. The number of complete linen sets you keep should reflect your laundry turnaround, room mix, expected use and reserve needs.

Illustration only: a shortage of 75 bath towels with 30 pieces per case requires 3 cases, giving 90 towels. A shortage of 70 hand towels with 120 pieces per case requires 1 case, giving 120 towels. The extra stock is a purchasing consequence of the case pack, not a separate charge.

Current Piano Key Border ordering examples

These are current catalog examples. Confirm the selected item’s pack and current price at checkout or on the quote before placing an order. Collection images can show several formats; the product name and ordering unit determine what you receive.

Compare cost per delivered piece

Delivered cost per piece = (product total + freight + applicable receiving-service charges) ÷ total pieces. Keep different towel sizes and constructions as separate comparisons. If taxes apply, include them in your budget using the checkout or quote amount.

A linen-order worksheet

  • Product reference and format: bath towel, hand towel, washcloth, bath mat or sheet.
  • Exact dimensions, listed weight and fiber specification.
  • Target usable inventory minus usable pieces on hand.
  • Pieces per case, whole cases ordered and resulting piece total.
  • Product subtotal, freight, receiving requirements and confirmed lead time.

Avoid common ordering mistakes

  • Do not treat the weight per dozen as the shipping weight of a case.
  • Do not assume that all towel sizes use the same case pack.
  • Do not treat a displayed dozen-rate reference as the checkout case total.
  • Do not choose a fitted sheet without checking the mattress depth.
  • Ask about any conflict between the description, selected pack and quote before purchasing.
